Paumen on top of the worldDate Posted: 13 August 2012
Grays gold medal winning captain, Marrtjie Paumen, not only helped her The Netherlands retain their Olympic title but has now scored the most goals at the Olympic Games. Paumen scored a record breaking 11 at the Beijing Olympic s and has added 3 more to her tally during the competition in London. After a barren spell during the group stages, Paumen open her account during the semi final against New Zealand where she picked up 2 goals and then fired home in the final to seal the title once again for the Dutch. She now has 14 Olympic games goals to her name and at the age of just 26 will no doubt be looking to extend her tally at Rio 2016.
