Shakeel Abassi on his way to 300 caps

Pakistan forward Shakeel Abassi has come along way since he started playing hockey at the Government Sandeman School in Quetta.
" I am more experienced now and am able to think more clearly on the pitch than I used to"said the 28 year old.
One of three brothers who play for the same Naeem Hockey club, he now enters his second World Cup tournament using the GX 7000 Jumbow.
" I like the curve on the Jumbow. I have found it helps me stop the ball it tight situations in the circle which is so important when everything happens so fast. I have also been working on my corner drag flicking and find the sticks helps me"
The 28 year old from Baluchistan had 293 caps entering the tournament and will reach the magic 300 mark if he plays in all games in Dehli
